When Babies Start To Crawl

Babies crawl at varied ages. Early starters may crawl at four to five months, but some children start crawling as late as a year. The average age is around six to nine months old. It is said that heavier children crawl late for they need to develop the muscles to support their weight while crawling. But for some babies, astonishingly, they never crawl, but go straight to walking. With this, people have had different interpretations saying that crawling helps with later reading skills, or math skills or whatever skills, pointing out that it is important for a child to pass through the crawling phase.

Anyway, like what I said, each baby is different. But when they do start crawling, as parents, we should make sure that the area they crawl on is safe. I guess at this time point, parents need to place their tv stand with mount on the side, and not somewhere in the middle for more space, and to keep unwanted accidents in the house.
